Todd,

Your terminology of "functionally obsolete" would be an accurate description of AgentOffice (Version 10.0).  Remember, there are functionally obsolete homes that are perfectly inhabitable for the right person(s).  I just signed up for a Top Producer membership so that I can use the Market Snapshot add-on to help increase my seller market share here in Burbank.  I like the interface between the two programs, and am frankly more impressed with the Market Snapshot than TP.  In fact, I am using AgentOffice for recurring follow up reminders, printed letters, listings and sales (action plans) because the workflow is so far superior to TP.  I am using my iPhone for all appointments and text messaging and I am not synchronizing to AgentOffice.

To be frank, with all the extraordinary advancements in technology in just the past 5 years, NOBODY is keeping up with all of it.  So, I'm back to NOT looking for a one size fits all solution and am using the BEST of each platform to accomplish my tasks.

My business partner Sean Goerss is using INFUSIONSOFT to run his parents' extremely mature business and it's expensive.  It's really geared to running an internet business rather than real estate, but Sean is so savvy and consciencious that he is spending the time to learn the work-arounds and teach their team.  Right now, I think he would admit it is probably still too much effort and expense for the average real estate team, but if he begins to have a real breakthrough with it, we'll start putting together some training for it.

I hope this helps!

Jim

With the technology world advancing so quickly, and with Agent Office not being improved upon, it appears it will soon be obsolete.  For example, syncing with anything after Outlook 2003 does not work, many problems associated with windows 7, and windows 8 coming out sooner than later, folks using ipads and droid tablets, what are your recomendations for keeping up with the world of technology?
